Raulian Paiva will go for his third straight UFC victory as he takes on Amir Albazi at UFC’s upcoming event on Oct. 31, multiple sources confirmed to MMA Fighting following a report from Globo Esporte.
The Fight Night card will be headlined by former UFC middleweight king Anderson Silva returning from a long hiatus against fellow striker Uriah Hall. The promotion has yet to officially announce the location for the event.
Paiva (20-3) scored a close decision over Zhalgas Zhumagulov in hist most recent bout in Abu Dhabi, but missed weight by four pounds for the flyweight matchup. In his previous bout, Paiva stopped Mark De La Rosa via second-round knockout.
Albazi (13-1), a former Bellator and Brave Combat Federation flyweight talent, tapped Malcolm Gordon with a triangle choke in his octagon debut in July. “The Prince” scored 12 of his 13 professional victories by finish, including eight submissions.
